The group typically meets 3 times per year with 1 meeting in the US and 2 meetings in Europe. Meetings usually run over 2 days. Members are working together towards a common goal of developing standards and recommended practices in the area of subsea wireless communications (currently radio, acoustic, inductive, optical and hybrid) as well as raising industry awareness and encouraging technology uptake. The network has operators, integrators and vendors / OEMs as its members. There are various networking opportunities during the meetings to discuss the technology and further development opportunities.
